One of the things I love about forum communities is getting to know people from all over the world.

Although I am not much of a city girl, I live just outside of San Antonio, Texas. No matter where I wander, my heart is here in Texas. When people visit, usually one of the first places they want to see is the San Antonio, Riverwalk. The areas right downtown are usually crowded with tourists visiting the many shops and restaurants. The areas further away from downtown can be pretty quiet and peaceful though. (picture above)

We usually have brief winters and springs, with really long hot summers. My favorite places to run away from the world for a bit are up in the Texas Hill Country areas. When I can though, I like to escape down to North Padre Island. It is nice being just a few hours from the Gulf of Mexico.

I mostly just love spending time exploring out on an old dirt road.

I would love know more about your corner of this amazing planet!

What are some of your favorite things about where you live?

Where do you like to take people visiting from out of town?

Share some pictures if you would like to.

Northeast Pa

Its a great place to live close to the beach and close to the mountains.
So much to do in Philly museum's and lot of history to see. Close enough to do road trips to DC or New York. Never had a problem finding a job with all the companies around here.
We get to see and live through all 4 seasons
Its a great place to raise a family

Big population and there are a lot of houses to do work on.

Hi Cricket! I am a San Antonio girl myself...here are a couple recents I grabbed during my rounds...Japanese Gardens down in Brackenridge Park off Broadway and a sunset seen from a property I take care of in Lake Hills on Medina Lake. Sigh. Pretty sight. Take care yall! MJ
