Propane, Charcoal or Wood (Oh My!) Continued

So now that we know what everyone prefers for heat while grilling...lets see some pics and hear some recipes! I have been making my own rubs for pork/chicken/etc recently and they have been fantastic. Using only fresh spices from a local spice store (it's like my personal candy shop). My two most recent adventures were a pork roast (rubbed and used for pulled pork) and ABT's (Atomic Buffalo Turds - Jalapeno peppers, hollowed out, stuffed with a cheese/cream cheese mixture, wrapped in bacon and smoked, low and slow with indirect heat). Lets hear and see what everyone is cookin'!

I was camping this last weekend & smoked alot up there, wings were the biggest hit (no pics though)! - Other than that I've been eating way too much 'on the road' food lately

I’ve already told you more than I know.

I've never smoked wings...did you dry rub them?

Yes. I've experimented with a few different rubs over the years. The latest favorate is actually Treagers Chicken Rub. I also have a homemade rub thats pretty good too - Got the recipe off of Diners, Drive-ins & Dives.
Requires a little prep forethought but other than that, pretty easy to do & at 10#'s a batch, I can feed quite a few including my my 2 teenage sons!

I’ve already told you more than I know.

Question OP; what did you use to keep the bacon from unwrapping from the jalapeños?

I grill a minimum 4 days a week, but usually more. I also grill 365. Rain, Blizzard, 20 below - I've been there. The only time I don't grill is when the winds are stiff enough to take me and the grill outta Kansan... Come Back Toto!

With that said, works been nuts, the wife and I have been canning, and then I usually don't think about pics on the grill or in my smoker. I will make a concerted effort to remember the phone, and get you some pics.

Sometimes I use toothpicks...but this time I cut the bacon a bit longer and wrapped it tight and overlapped it across the top (the wound over the overlapped part to keep the top on tight. Worked out pretty well.
