Why do I have to like him!!!!

Little bit of backround, my only daughter has a new flavor of the week boyfriend ,ok they come and go... she's bi-racial and extremely pretty ( I'm biased I know) and verrrrrrrrry high maintenance, but this one comes with his own baggage,he has a baby momma that he left for my daughter (say's they were over for a long time) but the other issue is my daughter really want's me to like this kid ( watch ball games together, play X Box, work on cars, etc..) and I just want to be left alone,I don't want to be his buddy, his friend and certainly not his father in-law!!!....

A. I can't respect a kid that cheats on his baby's mom.
B. If you cheated on her what makes me think you won't do it to my daughter?
C. If we become friends I'll really feel bad if I have to shoot him if he hurts my daughter....
What should I do???
D. He's not a bad kid (good manners etc..) but I immediatley think Eddie Haskel..
p.s I've never been the cool dad with any of her boyfriends, they all look at me like I'm the Taliban...(not by accident)

Just put your arm around him and tell him. "If you hurt my daughter that you will have no problem going back to prison."

Yeah it's been about a month now with this one I'm fiquring she should have bankrupted him shortly (They're here in my home right now and she just came into the living room with his very exspensive watch on her wrist ,he has no idea what he's dealing with ) and he'll go running back to his ex and beg for forgiveness on bended knee, he's a nice enough kid but we won't be sharing warm showers, and running through flower filled meadows anytime soon.....

Thats hilarious.

But I recognize the rest of your points of dislike are not a laughing matter.

Professionals are people who can do their job when they don't feel like it.
Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.

No tell him you were a navy seal and you could sneak into his home any time and cut his jugular with out him ever knowing it. That ought to make him have eyeball in the back of his head.

Thinking about going Will Smith ,Martin Laurence ala Bad Boys II and answering the door with my gun in hand, waving it around blindly and asking if he's ever had sex with a man?...

Ha, boy that brings me back. Have 2 daughters, both grown now, 27 & 29. They used to complain that the boys didn't like coming over the house cause they were afraid. Never verbally threatened them in any way but made it well known I was not their friend. I remember when I first started dating my wife of 31 years (in a couple of weeks), my father in-law, who lets just say was affilialted with the guys who ran the sanitation business back in the day, had no problem telling me that if I made his little girl unhappy, he would grab me by the throat and choke me to death. Message recieved loud and clear, he was dead serious. Scared the sh*t out of me!
