Bidding For Nationals

Anyone else feel that over the last 18 months the bidding process to National clients has shifted from bidding necessary repairs to bidding to cover your ass from potential chargebacks?

Not over the last 18 months. It's always been that way you are just getting smarter.

It appears to me that you are waking up to all of the exposure we all face. It's crazy and once you understand it you have to work 3 times as hard on every work order. In the end you do fewer work orders and spend more time working. Welcome to my world!

It's always been about throwing chit up against the wall to see what will stick. I would guess at least 1/3rd of stuff bid is not necessary. Approval rates are around 5-10% so basically they are wasting everyones time..........

Those are good times. Especially when the order is "cap two exposed wires for hud allowable" which is like a $12.00 work order. I have to go to the property cap the wires then report it as work performed by others so I can get my $35.00 trip charge. That's not exactly a win for any one!
