Shouldn't have waited this long.

Find out where the regional was getting their work from and call that company directly and let them know you will be taking whatever legal recourse you can. You need to have your work order numbers and any documentation you can come up with ready.

After 4 months, it's probably too late, but you can always send a demand letter threatening a lien on the property until the bill has been satisfied, with interest. Sometimes they fold to your bluff after all these months. There's nothing to lose by doing so.

Do everything via email or written word. If you speak to someone on the phone, get their contact info so you can send a POC.

Go file a claim in Small Claims Court. Some states, like Mass, have a higher limit than others. In Mass it's 7,000.

I know one company that NFN owes over 600k to. They are a big company and they have lost money in P&P for the last 2 months.
