Does anybody know why the work from the banks and Hud , had disappeared? Been around years and it the worst it's ever been. It's almost dead.

Foreclosures are down about 80% from their peak about 6 years ago in my state....not far from you.

It's about like newspaper subscriptions. It's run it's course and the party is over. Good news is that it also means the economy is doing well...meaning there's money out there. Gotta go find it the same way you found this business.

Before the nonsense started and money fell from the FDIC skies, most mid sized metro areas had enough bank work for one or maybe two crews. I now get a couple calls a week for the foreclosure stuff.
Its about like coming in after the gold rush. You want a nugget now your best bet is to look in the hotel rooms when the miners threw their pants at night.

To piggyback what I said earlier about money out there....

Went golfing up in Des Moines with an old high school buddy of mine yesterday and eventually the conversation turned to work stuff.

He needs some HVAC work done on his basement remodel project. He can't even get an estimate for 2-3 weeks. He said all phases of construction are swamped right now and people are paying a premium to get their projects completed.

It was pretty warm, mid 90s and full sun, played 54 holes....knucklehead me can't seem to remember I'm not in my 30s anymore. Adult beverages from 8-5. Then we WALKED to the bar and ordered water! I still feel like dirt.

Ouch. I smell a sunburn. Give me a headsup whenever you have time and I'll take you to a cool course in Indianola called Shady Oaks. Great course that is a LONG 18 and never busy.
