Beware beware NVMS!!!!

Seems another national company NVMS should be watched out for, one is that they send you a email stating a check has been cut and you'll be receiving it in 14 days or less. It's bad enough that NVMS is a 60 day turn around on any jobs, then, they post date the checks and allow them to sit on people's desks and don't bother mailing them out, but only until 12 days before those checks are no good, as those checks are only good for 90 days, then afterwards no one will let you deposit them. So beware , beware, I received two checks, yesterday the two I received had, 12 left before they are no good, they were for work orders completed back in March. Is is totally unacceptable business practices and bad enough these companies assign a work order that no one wants, they assign to you and then expect that work order to be completed yesterday. I would seriously watch this company, I'm suspecting they are having internal issues, which always leads to money issues and giant revolving door of employement as no one wants to work for NVMS and or soon later finds out how bad it's really become.

"So say we all!"

I am glad to know that I am not the only one. I've done inspection work for them for several years now to fill in my drive-time. At first they were very prompt. Even with the long wait time (8weeks) to even cut a check at least they were prompt and I received payment like clockwork. Now the check gets issued and put into an envelope which is stamped but then it doesn't get mailed. I am currently waiting for two checks that will both be more than 14days since issue this coming Monday. I have to beg to get paid. So far they have not stiffed me but I'm afraid to run up my receivables balance too high for fear they will ultimately bail on me. I'm beginning to wonder if there is any recourse against this poor business practice?
