License needed question

In Michigan they are saying I need a builders license or a sales license but to get those license I need to do pre-courses and I don't understand why if I'm subcontracting the work. So what license do I need to run my property preservation business in Michigan

Have you ever considered that you are the General Contractor when you are using subs? Seems pretty easy to see to me.....

If your preservation company is doing work of $500 to $1000+ then the licence is required.
