Afas

Thoughts about moving forward with AFAS. About a month ago got a sketchy email that Assurant has sold to Nationstar. Have been with them for years starting as FAS Field assets. No other communication re the change over since. My only conservation was with a afas bid team leader and she said about 30% of the staff has been let go. Any one have more info on Nationstar. Thanks

What did you end up deciding to do about FAS/Nationstar/Xome?

Me? - They don't have enough volume up here to make a difference, I think I've completed 10 WO's since they sold. I tell them what it'll cost and they approve it and typically pay within 30 days - no issues yet. YRMV!

Iíve already told you more than I know.

I am still with them after more than 9 years. The work volume is slow but that's fine with me, payment has never been a issue. I am just waiting to see what goes on after the dust settles. It drives me crazy that they adopted a lot safeguards polices, photo measure your truck/trailer load 4 times. OC is outsourced to India. Map zone no zip code coverage area, I keep telling them not driving 60 miles round trip for a free bid to trim trees. Each work order now is never smooth as they are taking on properties that have been lost or dumped by other nationals. Last week they sent me 2 wo wints on homes that have zero copper no utilities had wint stickers from 3 vendors dating back more than 5 years. Sent back my results on findings with a $0 invoice now in qc decline from India. For now its a joke but as you all know gas for the truck is not cheep.

I too have 9 years of history with them and I refuse to settle for outsourced QC findings - I've escalated every response I get with an Indian name attached to it and have had every one overturned so far. As far as the measurements, I personally adopted that as a company policy quite a few years ago as it makes it impossible for these service companies to intelligently refute invoiced cubic yardage. I also refuse to do the zone thing - Montana is too rural of a state with little to no volume in most zones - as a matter of fact, the regional manager that was there when they adopted the zone thing called me to tell me not to worry about the email they were about to send regarding zones as it doesn't apply to me.

Got an initial secure to do for them tomorrow (PHH/FNMA), distance fee was approved today, I hate these FNMA's but I've worked with this coordinator before and he's always been excellent to work with, we'll see how it goes. . .

Iíve already told you more than I know.
