Was it your bid?

If it wasn't yours tell them to piss off!

NFR tried to make me "clean and bag" moldy personals. I had bid $10,000. They sent it back approved for 1,000. They said my bid was not accurate because I didn't go by the cost estimator. My response was that my bid WAS accurate because I did NOT use the cost estimator. I refused and nothing came of it.

Let's start here - What is the bid approval for and for how much? What is the difference of the approval vs. what you remember bidding?

Did you adjust & resubmit the bid to what they requested prior to it being approved?

How long was it from when you submitted the estimate to when it was approved?

Iíve already told you more than I know.

A one year old estimate is no longer valid regardless if you included expiration wording on it or not. Tell them to either re-assign the work to one of their other vendors in the area or you'd be happy to submit a current estimate.
They're trying to bully you into accepting their pricing. A lot of the service companies out there try that simply because it works on a lot of people. You owe them nothing - don't let them push you around.

BTW - Feel free to name the company here so others can be warned.

Iíve already told you more than I know.
