Will Ams hire anyone?

So after we got sent 12 Property's to Re-Winterize for Ams. I have Concluded they will Hire Anyone that submits an application. Water heaters where not drained. Capped off house side lines but not city sides. Just a total hack with no Preservation knowledge what so ever. After About An hour Meeting with one of the AMS QC guys in the area. He Lets me in on what he thought was a secret. Ams Currently has 23 vendors located in one of the Counties we cover. 16 have been in business for less then a year. He went on to tell Me they are taking steps to regulate this better but they where recruiting vendors based on state only. Not Coverage Area WTF is that.

So after another talk with vendor management we have decided to part ways with Ams after 2.5 years of working for them. Then a Manager from there vendor management calls and asks what can they do to Keep me on board with them as we have a very good score card and such my response was Loose about 20 vendors in this coverage area. Cause i don't want to be considered one of the hacks that work for AMS. With no response from him Call ended.

I thought AMS was a bottom feeder pricing wise

With that many vendors they are going to start to drop pricing I bet to see how low they will go. Over saturation is the name of the game then have them compete against each other. Implosion is next FAS business model at its finest

There pricing is far from good. But i run 4 to 6 preservation crews. They where good fill in work. And i was always paid on time. We where able to get our pricing up from what they where asking when they got fannie but we where with them before they got it. But since there fannie contract here in Mi they have went to ****. And over the last 2 weeks they cleaned house of anyone that new what was going on there. I know at least 6 reps where told to kick rocks over the last 2 weeks

In the more populated area they are running in house crews, and calling the actuall 1099 vendors to cover the out of 50mile radius that in house crews wont cover. In theory cherry picking the work. I advised them that there is a min $400 service call charge since they want to cherry pick work, there in lies my fee, 2 days later they call me again asking me same asset for a watear leak. Min fee was now raised to $1000. Havent heard back from them They lost the freddie contract in CA and will soon lose the Fannae Mae way from what Ive been told be the FM inspector. Then again when AMS is making 30mil a month they can afford to "hit it and quite it"

On a side note as anyone seen in person their "20cubic yard dump trucks" put a tape measure on it, not even close to 20.

Who else is their to work for, I'm in CA and 94% of our work is through AMS, BofA is just gone for us, even investors now are paying out 45 days. We have met with Karen a few for training and they do have high standards, I'm sure they just have to figure out who can meet them. We compete with their in house crew who did a trash out across the street from my house last week lol! But we still receive a ton of work within 50 miles. I'm sure subs do a better job, I use 1 dump truck and 3 guys and finish a job in 1 day, their in house took like 4 days with 1 of their dump trucks 1/2 full. I definitely like them a million times better than FAS, the coordinators are actually nice and helpful. I hope they work it out

This is what happens when you pay $40-$50 for winterizations...Had the same thing here...
