It boggles my mind at times

Sooo. I get a resecure and winterization from the brothers the other day. I head over and its a decent house, surprise. LPS has been taking care of it for years. So I change locks, re-do winterization, do my bids, blah blah blah..I just got a bid approval for replacing missing outlet covers, re attaching a few gutters and a few tiny things...Just dont understand why nothing ever gets done about MOLD! The basement is covered wall to wall with black mold, just like every other home I do, mold, mold, mold! Just wondering if anyone knows why banks close their eyes to mold? I mean some homes I am in are sooo far gone with mold they need demo....not a outlet cover...Also anyone know any good preservation companies in Western NY to work for...The brothers pay VERY good and I need more work then they give, trust me this is not my day job at all. Tried Good Choice, they suck at rates and never gave me an order, even though I "Graduated", tried Alliance, got a few orders then nothing...Also US Best gave me a few, then nothing...Dont want Cheap ass 20.00 lock changes when brothers give me 60.00 either...

I don't think you're going to get very far with anyone here unless you go post an introduction.

I to wish more companies paid as good as 5 brothers! Some of these companies think if we pay $5 or $6 per lock that if they $10 it is enough! I guess gas, insurance , and maintains are all free!

Starbaby you hit the nail on the head... Many of these Nationals hire $10-$12/hr clerks give them the memo card guide-lines and company policies, an put them in charge of something they have no training or experience in.

We all know prices are being driven into the dirt by these idiots on a National level who keep cutting their throats to get the work from the banks. Then they try to buy-out their low-ball bid prices to any stupidier indvidual that will enter "their arena".

The thing is they all could pay like 5 brothers...common sense....I know if i am getting paid 330.00 to do a winterization, lock change and box I am gunna do it the best i can and give them there monies worth..now if another is trying to pay me a hundred for the same, not so much...thats why they have so much turnover..

They WANT the turnover and are not so much concerned with the quality of your job. As long as your pics justify them billing their client then that is enough. That's why every company wants to add you as a contractor, so they have leverage against the rest us. Then they give you a few orders for giggles and then you don't hear from them. I always try to develop the best possible relationship with a coordinator that I can and even then sometimes you wont hear from them. As contractors we are sort of in the dark.

5 Brothers paying well? That's a complete shock to me. Maybe it's a difference in expectations - I've known them from a Regional standpoint. I suppose if you were a local sub getting work from them it wouldn't be so bad, but trying to cover 2 states and dealing with their chargebacks and beurocracy was awful.
