One of the biggest issues in this industry is work being subbed...
Every time anyone agrees to work for a company subbing work from another company they become part of the problem of low ball pricing being acceptable.
When is everyone going to pull their heads out of the ground and start telling these companies no so they go away????
You may want to go check some of the threads on the Face book page...three people told companies no this past week...Our company refuses to accept any work that is not a direct contract with a bank....
Until everyone stops working for subbers then the lowball fees that we all bitch about will never go away...
There is absolutely no reason anyone should work that way...you allowing 25-50% of the money you should be getting for someone to hit the send button to send you the work order. WHY?????
You are the one putting up all the resources to complete the job....taking all the risk..for what??? A maybe I'll pay you if I like your photos????
I'm sorry but that is the stupidest business decision that anyone can make....

On that note Cleanupman. I just told a company in FLA to have a nice day. They wanted me to do some initial lawn work. Wanted to give me 10 jobs. The jobs were 250 miles one way to the other side of the state.Said he would make it worth my time and pay me $400.00 flat fee.

I wouldnt get out of bed for that price. That was a lowball slap in the face.

Sooner or later people have to start telling these companies NO ! If contractors would stop and think for a second. You and you alone have the power to decide what you make or dont make. The people giving you the work are not your friends they are in it for the same reason you are,the money. And they will try and do anything to keep it for themselves .
