GRRR I hate my help at times

I miss my helper who moved on. WAAA WAAA I have this new guy and he is driving me Flipping nuts. I would think he is getting tired of me sending him out for free to retake pics and complete services. This crap is getting old. He has recieved his final warning tonight. I sent him on a eviction/sales clean/mowing. It takes a flippin 6 hrs to clean an alredy clean 12oo ft house and mow a 10000 sq yard. Are you kidding me, I call him and ask him where he is and he tells my I m still there, I tell him what the $%# are you doing moving in. He reply'sI want to do a good job. 6 hrs on a 40 min max sales clean, 30 min lawn max and 20 min lock change. Then he fogets to put a flipping lock box on. Really IDOT. where do you guys find your help... I cannot find anyone with half a brain in my area. Ok I feel better

Finding good help is hard! Find someone who does a decent job working alongside you and then promote (I say promote loosely ha!) that person to working on their own. Will work out much better than sending a new person (ummm, basically a stranger) out to work alone.

One thing I love about using Pruvan is I can ask new crews to call in to the office before they leave a property, it gives me a chance to look it over and let them know what work or photos are missing right then. Eliminates "go-backs".

I am struggling with this as well. One of my best guys decided to drink to much and smack his old lady around. I don't want him back and I believe he may still be in jail. My other good crew has a father that is in the union and constantly tells him he is getting screwed. They can't ask you to do that blah blah he thinks we under pay and over work him in this industry. He may not be wrong but the deal today is the same as it was 2 years ago when he came to work for me and his pay is hourly every Friday like clock work.

The 2 guys I have hired to replace them have requires constant supervision and cost me time on every job.

I get calls every fall from the union guys when their hall starts lay offs. "I heard you need someone to do this or that" they say. Then the next line is something like "Just so you know, I get $31.81 per hour."

*Uh, you called me....
*Your obviously not getting that rate right now because you are out of work.
*I don't pay in cash and you will get a 1099. Sorry to bust your unemployment.
