I live in a very patriotic little town. Biggest parade anywhere around. Today a Sheriff's deputy stood at the beginning of the route and told all the floats they couldn't throw candy. They were to walk along the side of the road and hand the candy to people. Thank you big government for saving us from the candy menace. Kind of the opposite of what the fourth means to me.

To me it means that I am still doing WO's and not being able to get ahold of anyone in their air conditioned offices while their properties sit in disrepair.

While working on my other job at 4 AM this came to me.......
We as Christians are free everyday. The flag represents Christs pain in the stars that he must have seen when being flogged and then on the cross when the guard pierced his side. The Stripes are representative of his back after the flogging. This country was founnded on religous freedom! A HUGE debt of gratitude to ALL ARMED FORCES personnel past present and future !! for seeing that we remain free and under GOD.

Your lot in life could very well been hauling a manure cart during the middle ages for turnips, potatoes and a little bubonic. You were put in the greatest nation in the world at the greatest and richest point so far in history. If you can recognize that, you can start to understand your freedom. Now, why you were chosen to be here is between you and your gov, eh...God.
