Here is another to add to the list

Reliable individuals needed for property preservations [3] (1)

Our property preservations company is in need of independent contractors to assist by maintaining foreclosed properties. Duties consist of, but are not limited to:
-Grass cuts
-Debris removals

In the past week I got 2 calls from different people at this company. Basically laughed at them both times.

I have talked to them and their pay is crap.

They told me that $15 per cut is great because they will give you 100 of them per week so you will make great money on the volume.

I have never worked for them. As I understand it they pay on time.

I not sure if they still do, but they used to sub SG work.

Last I heard SG was cutting their volume due to poor quality. You get what you pay for...

I was at a triplex (in car on computer and conference call) when the local Pinelands sub showed up to cut. These two guys got out, one operating a ZTR mower, the other a push mower and a whacker. They picked up no incidental debris (e.g. mail/phonebook/door hangers) and made no effort to edge or blow/mulch clippings. They did this for one end unit (front and back) and proceeded to load their equipment. At this point I introduced myself and made it known that the triplex was all one parcel/property, not three separate, and that all three "yards" needed servicing. Their response, "Our work order only says this address and we're only getting paid for this address." I told them if they left I would have to generate a GCFU for incomplete work and somebody would have to come back. They told me to do what I needed to do they were done. The end.

First, I'm sure their work order probably wasn't clear enough that it was a triplex property and all three "yards" needed servicing. Second, because their work order only listed the one address and they "were only getting paid" for the one address, they didn't care about the quality/aesthetics of a fractionally cut property because they can't waste their time to do it right if it means sacrificing the additional volume they can accomplish during the day. Why? Because of the low price point. Third, they didn't care about a GCFU because they may not have even been the sub that Pinelands sent back out.

Again, you get what you pay for...
