mandatory background checks and smart phones

hello

this is bret with team ironclad

was anyone at the namfs convention in Chicago

I heard at the end they dropped the bombshell that it is in fact a reality that background checks will be mandatory and smart phones used by all crew members so that when you arrive on site you contact the data base key in wo number and ids of people on site so they can track gps on site

big brother ehhh

im all for being professional but I pay all my guys from 100 to 150 a day

I don't think I will be attracting a laid off nasa tech for those wages and they will have perfect backgrounds

we are getting lower and lower wages but we are having to put out more and more

best guess $60.00 per employee and good for one year for bc

wow

of course non of this equals more pay for us

my question to the group is what is going to happen when the banks realize it is impossible to field a troop of boy scouts or girl scouts doing what we do for a living hmmm

when we reached sales of a million a year I came out of field to grow larger

i'm a ex combat veteran so I have a clean background but what about my good guys who just happen to make mistakes

they aren't being asked to babysit kids right its lock changes and grass cuts

I wonder if these changes are for reo only or for all tasks we do

btw this presentation was led by wells fargo aren't they the first bank to start using the wonderful gift to our trade the cost estimator

I just want to provide honest service at a fair price

maybe ill move back to our family farm

oh snap

the government stopped our farming years ago my relatives are paid not to plant

maybe the banks will pay us not to service properties as each time they come out with new policies they seem to constrict my ability to make a honest living

just saying

happy pre-humpday

with frustration

It's very simple. When the cost finally get to be too much for the contractors actually performing the work, all the homes the banks own will fall into disrepair and have tons of code violations. This is the point when all if this oversight goes away.

The homes are already in disrepair and being cited by local municipalities. They have been for years. Background checks won't go away, so you'll have to decide if those are rules you want to play by.
The changes are being made not to primarily ensure the quality of contractor, but to cya. It isn't about stopping theft and removal of personals so much since they can tag your insurance for that. It is about building up a wall of security between them and the litigators.
The government reacts to random shootings by passing laws that mainly restrict the rights of law abiding gun owners. Doesn't do a thing about gang bangers and the deranged. The comparison is to show that there is are solutions to both issues, it is just that the powers would rather choose a little smoke and music over substance.

Add this to your list of reasons. All of my guys can pass a background check yet this rubs me the wrong way. They have a right to know who is at their properties but they don't have the right to tell me how to run my company.

I can't say it any clearer................

DIVERSIFY!!!

Professionals are people who can do their job when they don't feel like it.
Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.

Or...

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
