Got to laugh about it

We get a bid approval from the 5 idiots that states to remove 18 yards of exterior debris in way of grass cut and visable from street. So I'm looking it over and it states that the bid was adjusted to $480. Now last time I knew FNMA pays $40 a yard, yet they want us to remove it for $26.60 a yard plus 5 idiots get 20% making it $21.28 a yard. Ah yea no not going to happen. Hell we are getting $30 a yard from GCP and they don't take a discount. I rebid and if they send it back they can kiss my ass. I already told my husband I have just about had it with them.

They bust our balls about everything because the incompetant people that work for them DO NOT READ the PCR's, yet we go to properties that some of their other contractors have been to and I still can't believe the crap they get away with. Reglazed windows done with plastic and still not fixed correctly. Lawns just mowed over and not cut. Locks incorrectly installed and the list goes on.

The bid adjusting thing has been covered pretty well the past few months, so I'll just say it is a deal breaker for us as well. "Industry standard" "justified via photos" etc has nothing to do with my fixed costs. After making it clear why they cannot alter your bids, simply explaining to them that you cannot operate at a loss should suffice.

GCP = Good Choice Preservation

Thank you for the insight... GCP offered us $25 per cubic yard here in Ohio. No thanks..

$30 is more sufficient.

are they wanting it removed or just moved out of the way of the grass cut?

$20 a cyd to move it to a garage/outbuilding is about the going rate.

They want it removed from the property as there is no shed/garage to put it into.
