Rehabs, claims, repairs

Has anybody else work load on repairs been basically cut by 80 percent. We have basically seen the repair volume drop off huge on approvals, I bet only 3 approvals per month and we where doing over 100 per month. Estimates slowed but still getting a couple every week

I'm basically out of the P&P game all together now ..I stay on the forum just to keep informed I just told the wife tonight that it's kind of refreshing not to have to give an open loan to a regional or national anymore..

What a contribution to this post. Someone asks a question and his response is this. Lol.

Whlmc, is it hud? Could possibly have something to do with govt shut down? I read somewhere that hud had 8k employees off. Either that or your customer is testing out another vendor. We don't do many major repairs but the other p&p work hasn't dropped off

For me I deal with Freddie Mac and Wells Fargo, I have not noticed a decline in bids or approvals. If anything, there has been an increase in the past few months.

I work for just about every national and nobody has work. Must be they assign orders in different regions. We are always super busy from January till July then it slows down in August and usually picks up this time of year.

I asked and I'm the only person dumb enough to work for some of the nationals in hazard claims in my zones

I was plenty busy with FNMA and Freddie rehabs in September. October to date is one small exterior painting job.

The private/investor work is picking up though. In the last week, 2 investors called me out the blue. They heard I did P&P work as well as rehabs. Both signed on for new roofs.
