Just how big a boy are ya?

I know you guys joke about this from time to time. I just had a former contractor threatening to come over and teach me a thing or two. He used some pretty strong language and pretty much insulted me. our company, our clients, and the industry as a whole.

It's my policy when someone quits suddenly to inspect their last few properties. Sure enough i found bad wints, grass cuts that were only part of the lot etc. Short cuts basically, so I sent an email giving him the opportunity to complete the work and get paid. He refused and went all white trash billy bad a$$ on me. I told him to come on!

I'm still waiting?

Had some of those over the years from subs and some soon to be evicted tenants as well. Most of them I told to come on out, and I'll be waiting on the porch. A 1911 or my 870 usually laying nearby. The few that I thought were serious, I would make a short call to the local sheriff for a heads up. I figured if things got messy I would have a record on hand before the fact. FYI- it can be 20 minutes to my house for the sheriff, so I am my own 911.

Thinking back, I had two individuals that made me blink.
First guy was a tenant's boyfriend. She was 90 days past on her rent and we served her an eviction. He had no fear of anything and should have been in a maximum security facility. He made death threats against my office manager, her family, went their house, their daycare and then started calling my wife on her unlisted cell phone. We cut her some slack and she moved (the tenant, not my wife).
2nd guy did 20 years for killing his parents. He gets out on parole and shacks up with a pycho woman and they have knife fights by the hour. He has a nervous twitch and would start to cry before having an outburst. The seller put these nuts in a house before I purchased it so he could advertise it as occupied. I get them out and they move into some apartment. Three weeks later he kills the neighbor with a log chain for playing his music too loud.
Missouri, Ky, Indiana all have good gun laws. Going to Illinois you have to have a permit card just to buy ammunition.

I collect weapons for fun, kind of a hobby I guess. If the guy had showed up alone I would have worked him no problem. If he brings a crew I have a sweet .45 cal Uzi that has never seen any action off the range. Should be perfect for such an occasion. I also have Dobermans and this guy was scared to death of them and the dogs hated him.

I just can't believe people act like this.

We own land in Illinois that I deer hunt and the laws there are insane. I grew up in Illinois and never thought anything of it.

We just had an approval in Pocahauntus, IL and the first thing I told the guys was leave your weapons in Indiana.

Anyone threatning to come to my house better have a big " S " on his chest or be wearing kevlar...not that the kevlar would help ...and as far as the "S" goes I got the kryptonite....

Tell your loud mouth to stop allowing his alligator mouth to override his hummingbird brain.

Most of the time they'll be completely clueless about what you just said.

Professionals are people who can do their job when they don't feel like it.
Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.
