This call made me laugh

So I had a company call me about doing work for them in my area. Now this is the 3 or 4th time they have called me.
I nicely explained that we will not do grass cuts for less than our usual price.
So the guy starts at $20.00, next call $25.00, 3rd call $27.00. He also tried to raise the CYD where it was finally at a whopping $26.00 per.
I proceed to tell him that those are to low and he replies "OMG I just don't understand some of you guys. Here I am giving you business and money and it is never enough. Why doesn't anybody understand that $25.00 for a grass cut is sweet if you do 15 or 20 in a day". Beside, how can I pay more when I only get around $30.00 up to 25k sq. ft.
Believe me, if it is that SWEET then get in your truck and do them. Oh thats right they are not even in my state.

Why can't they understand that 15 to 20 $25 grass cuts only work if I drive my equipment to the site and not move my truck and trailer until 20 are done. IE condo association. And no pictures to take and upload and not have to wait 30 -45 days to get paid. Tell him 3 bucks for say 100 lawns a day is pretty good money for shuffling paper hahahaha

Is wanting what you charge everyone else greedy?

The caller doesn't understand because he doesn't run a business. He works for someone else who handles the risk, responsibility and the bean counting.

$25 is sweet for 15-20 different properties? How about $65 for 8 recuts, start around 9 and home by 3? That's what we had in one town today. That is what to understand.

You should have responded "$25/cut is pretty sweet if you do 15-20 in a day. The problem is you will only end up paying me for 5-10 of those."

This is EXACTLY why I LOVE my Realtor clients. If it is doable for under 150 for an initial than just do it. and up to 85 for a recut. But best part is 7 day payout and NO photos.
