The exact reason we aren't REO contractors. That Secure View only makes profit for Safeguard.

just that, plexy-glass in place of standard glass. I've seen a few done by other contractors in my area where one week a window would have been cracked or broken, next week it was reglazed with plexy. Not the best idea, you can have somebody close the front door and watch it flex under pressure....newer home though.

HUD did that years ago in Grand Rapids - some miss interpretation of the city ordinances. City said something like no boarded windows or at least the board needed painted white or siding color. It was sort of funny seeing that the city secures openings by screwing OSB 8" oc and doesn't paint them, Kalamazoo did paint them though.

You can buy .125 plexi in 4x8 sheets pretty cost effective (45 bucks back then) and if you pay attention, you can make a sheet go far. We made a killing back then for about 30 days and still have a few sheets left from the pallet we bought.

They are definetly a PITA to do cause you know they are just temporary.
