Becoming a SAM vendor

I have been the REO business for 15 years. I work with some Realtors, but most of them have their own crews. The majority of my work is with the Nationals. As of late my work has fallen off. It seems one of the Realtors is a SAM vendor. Because of that he is soaking up most of the work in my area. So, my question is this. How do I become a SAM vendor? Is there a site to visit? Courses to take? Let me know.

So you have been in the business for 15 years and don't know what kind of antifreeze to use? (one of your other post)

After 15 years you are still working for nationals?

In 15 years you have not found any brokers to work exclusively for? You claim they all have thier own crews? How have you managed to go 15 years without latching on to at least a couple of broker milking tits?

Do you even know what a SAM vendor is?(me thinks not if you think you will get preservation work as a SAM vendor)

Are we being punked?

My understanding of being THE SAM vendor is good luck. Subbing from a SAM vendor is slightly better luck, if at all.

Never had a really full understanding of what a SAM vendor was due to us being mostly HUD for so many years.

I've been subbing from a SAM vendor for over a year. I don't consider it lucky. The prices are dropping like a rock on the repair work just as bad as the P&P work. Each month I turn more jobs down.......

I was just told today that the unit price for ceramic tile installation is $5/SF. The only way that works if you bid twice the SF of what is actually required.

I expect at those prices they will be recruiting thru the local immigrant detainment centers.

I have to agree with this. Being a SAM vendor can't be very profitable and the QC is ridiculous.
