ummmm yeah aka ex employee is stupid

So we terminated a guy that worked for us.. Good guy just didn't get it..
Hes been gone about a month. He calls me this morning to tell me I owe him $482 and he needs it today.
HUH? I tell him Skippy its 4am wtf? He says well I know you get up early and I need to pick up my $482 TODAY! Yeah Im up now so I might as well figure this out. I tell him no Skippy pants you were paid in full.. He proceeds to tell me he got a letter in the mail saying he owes the tollway for running tolls and with fines its $482 and he needs to pay asap or his license and plates will be suspended.
Ummm whats that got to do with me?
Well (says skippypants) I was doing YOUR work orders so you have to pay them I wouldn't have run them if I didn't work for you...
Yeah I just laughed and hung up...
Scary thing is I know he actually believes that we should pay him...

Had a husband and wife working for me once. Gal was great but the guy was bi polar and unstable. One day you could talk physics and the next day he couldn't stop the bats from flying into his hair. I had given them a company credit card to use for materials. He calls me about 6 months down the road hopping mad telling me I owned him a bunch of money. Seems he just figured out I got 3% cash back on the purchases and he thought since he used the card he should be the one getting the $.
Oy....

Wait until he takes to the internet and starts bad mouthing you for not paying him the money he was OWED.

I have a complaint on file with the BBB for a guy we hired to do a preforeclosure initial secure in Cincinnati, OH he had REO experience but this was his first job for us. I sent him the training manual and he yeah yeah yeahed me through everything. He knew more than me. I sent him the work order and he went to the property, cleaned the entire thing out, did a sales clean, changed every lock on every door, cut the grass trimmed the bushes, and winterized in July.

I called him up and explained that an initial secure is not initial services and we could both be in trouble for what he had done. He invoiced me for everything he did and I told him he would be paid for 1 lock change and the grass cut as per the work order he clearly didn't read.

He turned us into the BBB and and took to every complaint website the internet has telling people to stay away from our company that we don't know what we are doing and that we don't pay. The BBB sided with me, and I managed to take down some of the internet postings but he just kept at it so finally I just gave up on that. Eventually he started threatening people in my office and I had to get a restraining order.
