at cost work orders

First off hello. I'm new and enjoy this forum for all the great info and ranting. Lol But I'm posting this to inform you that mcs is sending at least us work orders that state to perform work at cost. In the last few weeks we have received 9 work orders stating to do this for properties that we have previously been to. When we contacted them and inquired about them there was some type of mix up or misunderstanding as they put it. But just a heads up for those working with this national. They may have new workers or a glitch who knows. But keep an eye out.

Holy crap. I hope you told them to get bent and reassign to some other sucker. If not, I'm guessing you're going to see an increased amount of "At Cost" work orders.

Yes they are. They are also famous for bid fixing.

When I quit bidding with in their unsustainable guidelines they cut me loose for not being a team player.
Well excuse me, you wanna be a TEAM then by god act like it.
Not try to stuff every thing you can where the sun doesn't shine and then expect your team partner to like it and ask for more.
The only way a team works is by mutual respect by all parties.
I'm sure we all know exactly where the contractors rate in the eyes of the nationals........
They are a necessary evil, lower than bug dust in their eyes.

Professionals are people who can do their job when they don't feel like it.
Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.

I am just wondering who works for these people now. We had been decent vendors until last year when lies purred our way. There is no team playing when vendors are being treated the way they are and they receive threats if refuse work for free.
