Are there any decent Nationals

Ok vets so my husband is driving me crazy with wanting to work for a National.
He has been working for a couple of regionals, but lately the work load is low and they keep making up excuses as to why the bids were lowered and he refuses to do them for the cut prices. Of course they say just rebid. He is getting tired of just trip charges to rebid.

So are there any Nationals left in this game that are half way decent?

Nope, none.
However, if you lower your standards from Half decent to 20-30% decent, you may still find a couple that meet those standards.

Iíve already told you more than I know.

I get this question all the time. Each year I get private messages both on this site and through Linkedin and no one listens.

All the Nationals work for the banks and the banks call the shots. The rules are made by guys in suits that only care about numbers. They have never done an honest days work in their lives.

To answer your question GET OUT! This is your time. Hooking up with a national will only prolong your agony and in most cases you will leave the industry with the same amount of money or less than you came in with.

That's what I thought. I am trying to get my husband to understand either call local realtors or the local banks. Or he can go back to doing mechanic work he just doesn't get it.

Its been said many times, there's some kind of sick addiction to this work. I seem to be struggling with it right now too.
In 1 week I will be on a beach in Hawaii, I plan on self medicating until the sickness goes away.

Hey thanohano, you got medicine over there?

Iíve already told you more than I know.

I really don't believe the banks pay much attention to what the nationals do or don't do.
The evidence is too great of no one caring about the properties.

My aunt and uncle just got back. They said it was high 70s every day.
Just a wee bit warmer than MT

If you're smart, not afraid to say no and keep your

overhead low. You can make a decent self employed living with a few of them. As is always the rule, don't keep all your eggs in one basket. Last week I had already billed $1500 by Tuesday, this week very little from the one national I still work for. But, I had a nice private project to go to. You need to stay diverse or get diverse.
