We are. Not bad for a few leads here and there. In the old days they were called Service Pro or something like that and they would send the same leads to 4-5 contractors and you had to be FAST calling the potential client. I haven't had that with Home Advisor at all---the service rep calls you and introduces you to the client!!! Helps your sales %% but obviously doesn't stop the tire kickers

Used to be ServicMagic ... we were signed up with them about a decade ago. HomeAdvisor isn't too bad, I'm sure it just depends on the categories you're signed up for.

They called me 3 or 4 times about getting signed up.

Pretty persistent. I passed.

I'm selling out and moving out of state. New business venture.

Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.

We use similar services. There are good things and bad things. Good things are contracts with home owners, bad things when you get pissed people as you are 15th caller or you have someone who doesn't know what they want or have no idea how much it may cost. So ask for the budget upfront
If non exists, just pass it, plus we excluded Ghetto from the coverage

We used to do concrete services for homeowners. We found our clients mostly via Homeadvisor. As usual, its a numbers game, but they charge for each lead they send you. Generally the numbers were against us. Each lead was $60, and to compete locally we had to keep prices on the low end.

For $60 we mostly found that homeowners were just trying to find out what it "might" cost to have some work done. We rarely had good leads. Homeadvisor doesn't explain to the Homeowner or "requestor" that the contractor will get charged if they submit a request. So we had a lot of leads that were a large waste of time.

We ended using their service. We had a 4.5 star rating...and still really didn't recoup the loss of $ per lead.
