When we went down to the supply house to pick up our $1000 worth of "mandatory inventory of secureview" the guy loading it onto our truck told us the same. He said they literally take it out of their lexan stock, cut it to safeguard specs and put it on the a rack with a more expensive price tag. The cross bars are stock black hdpe.

When we took our mandatory secureview training, they were very careful to point out that secureview was especially developed for this exact application and was patent pending. They also said lexan is unacceptable to use because it wasn't designed for this application. Yeah right.
