Tip for those new to the industry.

After getting a few emails from companies I have never heard of lately...please make sure you read service agreements and contracts before you sign anything! I know all of you season folks read them, but new people, don't get too excited when a company sends you a contract that you don't take the time to read everything they send you. They can hide a lot of information in those things.

I received one today that flat out said if you file a lien on a property for lack of payment or for any reason at all you agree to 1.) Pay the company $50,000 2.) Pay the full dollar amount of the lien 3.) Pay all attorney and court fees.

That could ruin a company/life if you filed a lien on them. Plus if a company requires you to sign away your right to file a lien....there is probably a reason! Be careful folks.

Very true, sage advice. This is business, not an app. Read the small print, read the contract in it's ENTIRETY. If you don't you're the only one to blame when something goes horribly wrong, and it ruins your life. You had an out, you chose to ignore it. Truth slap!
