i had a broker that was 1

I never worked for him b4. asked to do a emergency insection.. I said sure 50$ ill throw you the photos.. he said ok..

I get there the rear door is wide open "this is a 600K" home all the doors are missing inside, appliances gone, door knobs, hardeware all gone..

I called he didnt answer so i send him an email when i get home with photos and showing door open, and everything missing.. I get a email the next day from his lawyer saying he wants 42k for all the missing items.. That the items were there the day b4 and he has date stamp proof they were there.
Well 15 calls later 2 different #s i google the one# and its a home build
oh look who the home builder is its xxxxx-xxxx and who is the broker the same damn dude.. google his businesss.. He filed chapter 7 and folded as a builder..

best part is i went back the next day asked neighbor if they saw anything.. she says yeah the home owner backed his truck up to the rear of the home and loaded his box truck with doors etc.. I got her to write the statement on my notepad and went to the bank and got it nortizsed.. I sent the letter back to his lawyer and i never heard back from him..

I went on his yelp, google+ and manta and slammed him with all the proof i had and the emails demanding 40k... I never wanted to cause more bodly damage to someone b4.

Knew a broker, a woman, who used to handle a lot of foreclosures in her area. This would have been around 12 years ago. Chain smoking whiskey throated lazy sack of cat litter. She would send contractors to the nationals to bid trashouts, rekeys, etc but they actually worked for her under bogus companies. She made money on the securing, seasonal, initials, etc then later on the sale. Paid minimum wage and signed off on all the work so there was never a callback. She was and still is the only reason I ever saw for national lenders to use middle men.
On a side note, I had a degenerate partner at the time that loved using her for buying flips because she had no ethics and would feed him inside information with a spoon. We were supposed to close on an entire block of repo duplexes one morning and she calls me asking for a ride to the closing. Her husband had an appointment for physical therapy at the same time. She said if I couldn't do it that was ok, just pick up her check and run it by her office when I was done. I'll let you figure out what a realtor's commission is on 24 fifteen year old duplexes on their own street was.

I like these types of things being called out and the people involved. We all work hard for our money, it is great to have stories like this recalled and being able to see things that may be coming down the road if we share these types of things. Thanks for sharing!
