Millennium info services

Anyone had any experience with this firm? It was a nightmare for me. I was assigned a radius, my local zip, 30 miles around. I was assigned inspection work and completed everything pretty fast. The work was steady and tedious. Take exterior/interior photos, measure and diagram properties and then upload into the system. Very time consuming and meager pay. But I hung in there and grinded. Then they started to ask me to do inspections, 2-3 hours out of my home area. . no prob. I would clear a bunch out on the weekends and wrap those areas up. Then they started to hit me with hundreds of inspections and small timframes to complete. Mind you some of these inspections only paid 12.00. After gas and toll and 12 hour days on the road. I barely broke even. After 3 months of no sleep and continuous inspections, I requested to stay in my local area. they all of a sudden stopped sending me work. Then after a month with no contact, they stated they no longer needed my services. Is this the way these inspection mills work?

Well, Not a pro or anything but from what i gather here yes. 90% are just as you described.

Wow, 90%. That's crazy. I felt like a lot of times I was doing full appraisal work, measuring rooms, ceilings etc. The only thing they didn't ask you to do was pull comps. The sketching was murder as they would not pay you if it was off by a few feet.

It sounds to me like you were doing insurance inspections. If you start doing occupancy checks you will most likely be able to stay in your area. Unfortunately they pay significantly less. Somewhere between 3-6 ea depending on who you are getting the work from. At the same time only pics are required, no measuring and the only time you have to really get out of your car is if the house is vacant. My guys complete on average between 50-75 inspections daily and they only work Monday - Friday. If they wanted to work weekends also, I just give them more work. Chances are they had your area already covered by someone who went on vacation, wanted to keep you on and had an opening elsewhere, or the client that they were getting the work from only had work in the area that they were trying to send you.
