Exclamation Thumbtack for property preservation

First off does anyone ever reply or quote people from thumbtack? I mean you are rolling out the quote blind. Well every request I have ever wanted to pursue I always ask for more info. And I never here back from the person. And I assuming because the CL hack/joe smoe just quote the job blindly the customer sees the quote and says, "WOW! that's a great price" and accepts. Then the wannabe contractor probably shows up and cant believe he just bid $300 for removal of 16 cy of rotting trash, mowing an acre of grass that's 24", trimming 4 trees and 22 feet of shrubs, demolition of a shed!

I wonder if he A. Completes the job B. Negotiates a better price C. Gets back in his rust bucket and drives away D. Says he completes job and fudges pictures, mows a perimeter cut, demos the shed dumps debris down the hill, hides house debris behind an outbuilding ,trims the shrubs to a width for the camera and trims one tree.

From thumbtack:

Moving out, General cleaning and organizing, Estate sale, Foreclosure

Things to cleanup

Furniture and appliances, Electronics, Assorted junk, Construction debris, Yardwaste

Property type

Additional services

Moving items around and out of the house, basement, or garage, One-time yard cleanup, Digging, Pruning and trimming landscape, Demolition of shed, swing set, etc. (requiring use of tools), Demolition and removal of concrete, General cleaning

Property preservation work for a nationally recognized company looking for contractors. Will be removing safety hazard, and cleaning interior and exterior of the property. Work may also include winterizations, mows, snow removal, tree trimming, and other jobs.

When the work should be done

As soon as possible

Why anyone would utilize a system like that and actually bid a number is beyond me.

They are ok. I have won a lot of jobs on there. You do not have to give a quote right away. I always set up bid appointments first and never give a quote online.
