Neewb here

Hello all;
I have been reading forums on this site for days, as I found the hours slip by I felt I should join.
A little about me, I'm from Columbus Oh where I operate a family owned HVAC biz. I have been doing a fair amount of work for a GC who was doing restoration as well as preservation work for a contractor who recently stopped using subs(long story). This GC and I have become friends over the parts 3 years or so. He recently approached me with a business opportunity stating that he had an in with a national in SW Florida specifically north Ft Myers area doing preservation work for a company named Homestar. Homestar claims they will give us 100+ work orders the day we start. The GC plans on relocating to the area while I plan on going down for the first month or so.
Any and all info about Homestar, preservation or Ft myers would be appreciated.

The veterans that I've talked to are dropping Homestar like a hot rock. They are having financial troubles and the contractors are paying the price. No way you'll get net 30-45 days.

They are one of 3 SAMS vendors in WI. Word on the street here is the rehabs are having liens filed for nonpayment to the contractors. I'm wondering how long FNMA will put with that until they get the boot.
