I am a new member to the forum but have been reading your posts for a couple of weeks and love what I have been seeing. This is such a unique industry that it is nice to be able to talk with others that know what it is all about. I have been involved in property preservation for 6 years now. I ran my own crews for 4 years doing work on HUD and FNMA houses in Utah. I had 12 guys that worked for me and during our peak we averaged initial services at 3 houses per day. During this time we also did bi-weekly routines on 150 properties. The national I was doing work for ranked all of their vendors and I was nationally ranked 17th of 650+ vendors.
After taking a year off I now have become an employee for one of the companies I was a contractor for where I now do HPIRs (HUD Property Inspection Reports) for them. I enjoy being an employee now where I can rely on weekends off but still have the freedom of working my own hours. I am technically the only employee in this state so it is similar to being a contractor still.
Thats enough about me. I look forward to reading more of your stories talking with you in the future!
