Considering Start-up in Texas
Hello. My business partner and I have the resources (personnel and capital) and are looking into various opportunities to expand our businesses. One of my former vendors, and friend, informed me that he's "making $7-9k/week with two 2-man crews". I dug a bit deeper into his story and the numbers don't seem to add up.
One example, he's claiming $1,200 initials with $65 re-cuts for average sized lots and $500 tree trims. Also, $60 re-keys and $48/yd for trash-outs. He claims that an entertainment center is calculated at 4yds ($192). He won't give me the company name he is dealing with. I do know that he is not dealing with Fannie May, Wells Fargo, or any of the financial institution directly. He appears to be working for a National or as a sub for a company working for a National.
I have seen NOTHING to substantiate his claims on this forum or by conducting my own online research. Is there something I am missing?
I have no expectations of making $1M with a 42" craftsman and a Prius. I would like to hear from some veterans in the industry before my partner and I venture down this road without a map.
Thank you in advance,
