Hello Clyde, and hello thread,

Never do work that risks your own health. The banks, preservation companies and anyone else hiring you to do work should understand your need for PPE. My company specializes in the remediation of hazardous materials form homes and we bill accordingly.

If doing these jobs yourself, take several things into account while bidding. Cost of supplies, time spent in total, cost of disposal of these hazardous materials (including transportation), and the risks involved.

Always protect yourself, I recommend looking up OSHA, EPA and DTSC guidelines while handling hazardous materials.
