I use the online plus with payroll package.
I have only had it for a few months.
I haven't really messed with it much and
I'm not very computer savoy. It seems to
Be user friendly and easy to navigate.
I got it to help calculate my quarterly and
Payroll taxes, its perfect for that and very
Easy to use. It notifies me when its time to
Pay taxes and how much needs to be paid.
The only problem I have had with it so far
Is payment/subscription issues, I have had
To call customer service 3 times to get my
Subscription/payment for subscription
Like its suppose to be.

I'm using 2013 Pro.

It has its good points, and bad ones.

The mountainman hates it with a passion but we have few choices.

Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.

we use it. I know nothing about it. Book Keeper (read- wife) handles that end of it.
I've looked over her shoulder a few times and went back to routing grass cuts. lol

quick books question

so are you saying for a small llc, that quick books is something I can do, instead of taking all my receipts and stuff to an accountant and paying $100 an hr

As a small LLC, you could probably purchase Quickbooks and use it for several years without updating it. If you can handle the initial setup you will need to do then yes, it will probably be much cheaper than outsourcing to an accounting service.

I do all the initial data entry, then a $25 an hour bookkeeper looks it all over and makes sure every thing is in place before having the $100 an hour accountant finalize every thing and do the taxes.

Obviously its much cheaper to pay a bookkeeper for part of it than the accountant for all of it

They overcomplicate the simplest things. Tech support also sucks. Tried for 3 months to get the Accountants Copy to work and tech support never could help me. My accountant say myself and one other of his clients has this issue. The rest of his clients it works fine. I take him a thumb drive once a month instead. Like Brickman said, We have few choices...........
