Finding Subs

My company just received a contract for pre-foreclosure inspections in 5 more states (we have 2 already). We have the infrastructure in place as far as office staff, but I'm having trouble locating experienced inspectors/inspection companies.

I've normally used craigslist to find people, but with the large territory I can't keep ads up due to craigslist's no duplicate posts policy. It sucks since as a lonely inspector, I always found work on craigslist.

I've posted to forums that allow you to post "looking for subs" type posts, but there isn't much activity on many of them and I'm getting little response.

The major job posting sites (Monster and Careerbuilder) don't have almost any postings for PPI work and are cost prohibitive.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm starting to become a bit desperate...

Change the wording and paragraph order around.
That should help with craigslist.

Professionals are people who can do their job when they don't feel like it.
Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.

Try posting here and any other PP networking spot you can find ... if your prices are fair then word of mouth will kick in for you. What 5 states are you looking in?

@ P3+, Its not a matter of biting off more than I can chew...Even in a single state, there are more craigslist areas than you can keep ads unless you write a bunch of versions, only post to one area every 24-48 hours, and hope they don't flag or ghost you. They have a draconian no duplicate policy. I understand why they do it, but when you are offering a legit job it sucks.

@ Omnimepres, I think I've hit them all, but I'm still looking. Right now I'm looking in the following states: IA, IL, MN, MO, and WI.

Why would you want to be a regional?? One state with 500 inspections to do and dole out is WAAAAY more than enough headache for a normal person. At least if one of my guys screws up i can jump in the truck and take care of the problem in a few hours.............

The truth is you can do one more job a month and make more money than doing 1,000 more inspections with subs and it's way easier.

Everyone wants to sit back and watch the checks roll in. The thing is nobody does.
