PP & REO grass cuts in Cleveland Ohio

I have been sub contracting grass cuts for three years, for a guy who gets his work from national field network and a2z. The money is decent, but the volume isn't always there. Looking to expand, but do not want to get into doing all the PP work that comes with signing on with a national or even a regional. Anybody have any suggestions for clients that hire contractors to only cut grass, trim trees and bushes etc?

If your straight up with the regionals most will let you "grass cut only". Everyone I've applied to recently (I'm moving to SC this May) have asked me if I'm Grass only or Everything.

Any recommendations? It seems most of what I find are subs of subs, trying to pay $18 for a cut.

Fine, ignore me. But Regionals take care of labeling photos, bidding "correctly", chargebacks, etc. None of that "sueing you for missing a bid on a property" bs.

All that stuff you don't want to do they handle. Just be up front in the phone interview and you'll be all set.

Or, ignore me and I'll go back to my $60K - $80K year just working and uploading photos.

and, by the way, I'm getting $30 for extremely small yards, $40 for average yards and $80 for them larger ones that take 45-1 hour to complete.

But, I do it all, not just grass.

Hey man I'm not ignoring you I'm asking for a name drop! Believe me, any help would be appreciated. I used to do everything for Universal Field Mortgage Services, but fell into a client offering bulk grass cuts a few years ago and decided to reformat. Not familiar with too many other regionals, if you know any good ones, please let me know!

I used to do safeguard grass cuts as well for the same contractor I sub for now. Was a nightmare. Pay was terrible, minimal notice on orders every time, constant qc's. Total nightmare.

What I did both times I started up was to hit the infamous Craigslist (yes, I can hear the rest of you groaning now).

After reading a bunch of adds I saw one that listed out what equipment was needed and what jobs I knew how to do. I copied that and put in all my own information and then sent it out to every add I saw. A lot of them wait 1-2 months before getting back to you. At one point I was working with 3 of them to figure out which one I wanted to stick with.

Eventually someone will give you good rates and off you'll go. Take what comes in when it does and keep responding to adds till you find that right fit.

I'm hoping that some day a nice realtor will notice that I "do things right" and give me direct work.
