Well as dead as it is around here its nice to see some familiar names from back in 2016-ish ....... I was pretty active on here as All Island Handy and a post like this would have had 20 or 30 reply's by the next morning!!!!! Im getting the feeling that the work load is about the same these days?????

Yup, dead around here. I still check in once a week or 2. PropPresPro checks in now and then too but everyone else is MIA. I got out of the silly business after I made my money and paid off my acreage. 9-5 for me now. Evenings and weekends are mine.

I see the regular train of green newbies thinking that Safeguard or some regional turd is the next big thing for them. This biz isn't even in the toilet anymore. It's been flushed.

With the foreclosure moratorium finally ending on January 2022, there will definitely be an uptick. What this report does not reflect is the existing homes in Foreclosure. As an example, the town next to me has over 300 homes in the foreclosure process. Based on my analysis, there are thousands on Long Island, before the moratorium came into play.

Even with this article, since getting on this forum ,all I've read is negative comments, and opinions. Seeing these numbers would probably excite new comers like me but the comments are just leaving me speechless(in a bad way). Most likely why no one has said anything after viewing the article.

Im # one contractor for safe guard for over 20 years .weve been slow since covid doing 2 3 miliion with 15 crews now 2 crews i have know idea whats up?

20 years with Safeguard??!! If that's true, you've seen it go from good, to bad, to ugly, to unthinkably ugly. Seriously, either you actually enjoy getting bent over the furniture, or it's not happening to you. Please explain!

I have not been on this site for a bit either. Actually was contacted by SG to do some mowing this spring as the other guy didn't work out. I named my price per mow and they agreed. Inventory is super low so the price was high. After talking with my contact there he mentioned with such a price listed under my code they will review my photos with more eyes, looking for reasons not to pay! I gladly said even at this rate its not worth my time and declined the work. I have been contacted here and there to do work with unknown pop up companies. Actually Altisource just called me today which i started to reminisce about my days in the industry. I had some really good times, made some good money and was able to leave the industry a lot better than when I entered. The FC industry is how I built my business and I have to give thanks to that. Getting into it now...i cant even imagine what prices are and how anyone could make a profit. We shall see what the future brings.

I haven't seen an uptick in anything in Kansas since Covid. When it does pick back up, we really need to band together and push back against low prices and high discounts. Safeguard is 35% now. SMH. Imagine trying to sub out work when the bids are already discounted at 35%. It is a no win situation for everyone.
