Bid for initial and maintenance for salt water pool??

I know there are no standards...and it depends on costs and profit margin, etc.
But, just wanted some input.
We have bid and maintained pools last year.
Typically 800.00 to do initial on the average inground pool and 80.00 to do the maintenance.
This is the first salt water chlorinated pool I have encountered and not sure how different it is? As far as cleaning and maintenance? More work, less work? Cost of chemicals about the same? Just wondering if the bid should be adjusted for the pool type.
It also has a heater...is that going to have a big effect??

Thanks!

From my experience, the salt water takes a faster toll on metals. The heater is likely to die sooner.

If the system is working, chemicals will be less. Things go wrong. The salt generator will need cleaning. It may die, need replacement, every 2-3 years. The control panel may die, new control board needed. The flow switch may die, new one needed (at $100 for the part).

Other than the salt system, everything else remains pretty much the same.

I backwash into the sewer, plastic pipes. I wonder if anyone here dumps the backwash from a salt pool on landscaping and what it does.

I dumped a marine fishtank on blackberries once. It kicked their butt.
