It's a scam. If they had that much work to hand out they would either know who you were or pay for it themselves to protect their investments.

This is just a way to bring you on board along with your additional insured status.
This makes their total insurance amount look much better to their clients.
Ask Fremont how that works.

Then you'll never get any work to pay for the back ground check.
Tell em to pay for it themselves and then take the amount off of your second job you do for them.
Other wise get lost.
