We had a very chilling phone call from a Company that we have done a lot of work with concerning the Lead RRP Regs and the way Big Brother has started auditing loans that are Government Backed.

From the way he heard it from an instructor it goes like this:

IF P&P contractor does any work that disturbs paint in a house that is pre-1978 and when the house has its LBP (lead based paint) inspection before any sale or conveyance and if it has lead than they (HUD, Fannie, Freddie, FHA) are requesting the P&P Contractors EPA RRP License, signed RRP Pamphlet and Lead Records with results of the swipe tests.

I can see where this will be going can't you? KaBoom:censored:

Proper paperwork management is the key. If contractors don't think it will affect them, think again. They are out there in full force and are incognito calling as if they were a homeowner looking for a contractor to do renovation, repair or painting. So beware!
The next fine could be coming to a contractor near you!

FYI Swipe test has been shot down in the last couple of days EPA was told No by a Congressman it's not going to happen. So Breath easy. I don't recall which congressman stated this but I could find if needed.
