Hello Group,

Im Chris From Fields Handyman & Property Preservation Service. I'm just a solo team of 1 guy 42yrs old married 7 kids 1 grandson he is 2wks old. I have been in one kind of construction or another for the better part of 25 years. I got tired of makin other people tons of money and decided to go out on a limb and try to make something work. I currently sub for a regional REO company but am looking into some national companies. In fact I got a call from Guardian Asset Management yesterday. i called back had leave a message so I'm waiting to hear back. otherwise, i been out on my own for a couple months and so far haven't made much of a living at all. like i mentioned in process of changing that though.. i look forward to learning the ins and outs of P&P and REO Repair vendor dos and don'ts,. thanks for let me join look forward to getting involved.

You can make decent money if you stick to your guns. Bid everything. Never do BATF. They will try to get you to BATFdo not do it. The problem with a bid after the fact you have no negotiating power. They have the work done and can try and pay you anything they want.

At first, I was reluctant to pay for a bidding cost estimator. However, after just winning a couple of nice bids using one I saw it can pay for itself fast. You do not have to use the ones the big nationals use. They will push it but you can find a cheaper version. I have used the one they recommend and the one they don't. I have won bids using both.

Lastly, I always report damages on every trip to a property. Look close enough that you can find something. I try to cover the big ones at first. Usually, you can find something wrong with the roof and foundation.
