Hi all,

Been looking for a new direction to move in, away from pp. Was wondering if anyone had good or bad to say about getting certified in mold and or energy efficientcy. What is a good certification body.

Primary certification bodies are IICRC (TheCleanTrust now) and IAQA.

Few weeks of schooling, OJT, passing the tests, purchasing the equipment. buying Pollution Liability and your good to to.

If I remember correctly Misery (Iowans joke at Missouri) has certification requirements?

Locate a good Industrial or Environmental Hygentist to do your clearance testing is recommended.

If you want to travel "up the road" on the Ave of the Saints to Cedar Rapids I can start your OJT....got a big project there with 7 guys. Should be done by next Wednesday.

Remember...certification doesn't mean you do a good job. Some of the best mold remediators are not certified. The certifications DO get you a lot more opportunity AND credibility.

P.M. if any questions anytime.
