Hello guys and ladys, Im new on here and like to meet new people and talk about anything with business and price and workers ect. Im starting a small business and i have a small crew is ready to start. I used to do Property Preservation with my girlfriend's mother and she owned the business and my girl friend name Jessi would be doing all the work orders like uploading pictures and all the biding and ready for office ect. I was doing all the labors trash out,grass cuts,rehabs ect.. So down the road her mother give up on it because all her other workers would mess up the jobs and not having the pictures right and having back charge also other things.. Her mother gave Jessi the business and Jessi and i start getting new crews and We start knocking out houses and not one back charge which is awesome crew we have.. So the company is making us pay back all the back charge for her mothers problem which its not right!!! It was up to 5k! which i told them that not our problem. So they decided to take 30% out of our checks which we had a hard time paying the guys and the dump fees and materials ect. So we wasnt going nowhere making money as we left that company.. We broke up now im in the part where I want to do it on mine own and not worry about other peoples problem.. Me and my crew is looking for some work. I looked on Craigslist I email them and i have a few called me back but most of them are 30 -45 Net pay then after 30-40 days its every week or every other week which going be tough. I told them that first of june im ready to start. Does any one know any Company that looking for a great subcontractor with a awesome crew that would pay instant wait 30-40 days or its like that to every company? Im from Baltimore Maryland. The company that we used to work for was Cam Secure Services.

I'm going to be blunt here. You do not have enough working capital to start this rat race and have employees. The overheads will kill you on WC and labor starting out the gate.

Craigslist? Really? Best case you will find bottom feeding Regionals there and will go broke before your first day check that will be short or wrong after waiting 45+ days for it.

Guessing the best bet is trying find a company that pays weekly or bi-weekly? but most of them are 30 days net pay around here.. Whats wrong with criagslist theirs few companys on there looking for subcontractor. Im trying keep myself and my crew busy and make some money. I have 2 kids and a home and im about to be homeless if I dont make a move.. I have some money that could last me for 30 days. My crew knows they are not getting pay till we all get payed and they dont have a problem with that. So that what going help me alot!!

I'm on season 3 of "The Wire". There seems to be good money selling on corners and in the highrises of Baltimore. Better pay, fewer middlemen, comparable rish but the hours are pretty flexible and you are still your own boss.
