The companies who think they are "guru's" in the PP business are actually screwing it all up. If they worked on their own business and did all the work in house there would be a better control of the price standards that are given from the banks.

Now the banks have caught on to this and now they want to pay $25 to the main contractor. This will destroy the market and this industry.

We do ALL work in-house and we have NY, MA and Philadelphia PA and slowly spreading out. But its all worth it because we know the work is being done right and it shows you are a true business person. If you are a sub you are being screwed over by your main contractor as they are making money off your hard work. If they are paying a flat rate to you like many of the "guru's" are then the banks will set their price at that and these "guru's" won't be able to pay you because the rate is too low.

This will happen. Do as I do and get the ins. and everything else you need and do it yourself. These "guru's" are NOT doing you a favor. Yes, they do know the industry but they are also destroying it by outsourcing.

I have PLENTY of work but I don't outsource.....I hire more people so I can create long lasting jobs. The outsourcers are just using people and before you know it your phone will stop ringing because they are not making their money off you anymore and they will be no more.

Be your own boss. Get the ins., workman's comp, and be proud of what your hard work earns you. It's not hard at all to get into working with the big guys. We did it and now we pick who we want to work for. There are many assets to get info to get help. SCORE is one of them who will help your business venture for free.

You can do it. Make the money you deserve for yourself and not someone else who you think are helping you. Good luck! It's a hard business but it does pay off and you will do well if you work hard.

That's my rant and I'm sticking to it!!

not too bad!! i agree and disagree....i think it was donald trump who said it best that the way to prime capital is through the use of OPT/OPT....other peoples time/other peoples talents......i started my company doing all the work myself. Which was good income and honest work...but after hiring an analysis company to figure out what i was actually paying myself, i wasn't a happy camper...i found out my personal time wasn't worth more then 10an hr.....so i started outsourcing work and instead of doing 2-3 jobs a day, i'm now doing 10-20 jobs and making about the same income with less personal presence, which leaves more time for the business side of the company. Adverting, interpersonal contact, communication, customer retention, rapport building, networking, company development, company expansion. all that takes time and effort too, the real question is where you want your personal company to go! everyones answer to that is different. I want to get as much capital out of this endeavor as possible before the light has fully burnt out.....good luck my friend !!
