Are any of you guys a one man show ?
Is it possible to start out doing this type of work as a oms ?
Or would it be a better option to find a local p+P guy and work for him on a sub basis ?
I do mostly small jobs for homeowners but also offer handyman services and do most anything except plumbing and electric(not licensed for either ) i do have a mass unrestricted csl license
I do have several customers who always call me first when they have anything to do on the house
But i have to expand my customer base
I am going to pound the pavement and leave flyer's in some nice neighborhoods in my area (I actually got one of my customers that way and done a lot of work for them ) and my customers always refer me to their friends (which i am very great full for)
I also do ads on craigslist

but mostly just to have links for my website some of the calls i get from that are dooosies (folks want a licensed/ insured/ background checked ,Top quality all around contractor FOR 10 TO 12 PER HOUR ) LOL it is so hard not to tear them a new one on the phone but its my business number so i politely decline their umm offer lol
Any way my point was I think i am a great fit for this type of work because i can do multiple phases of a job and am pretty good at it (in my humble opinion )
I have most of the tools of the trade for remodeling (but not the dump truck or trailer for cleanouts ) or a super hyped up lawn tractor for 7 foot tall grass cuts lol
But am trying to figure out if i could find a niche in this business as a oms
Thanks for any advise or comments guys
regards
Todd
