We ran a construction company doing high end work. When the economy went soft a few years ago our client base dried up. In short we ran out of work and had trouble getting paid for the work that was in process.

We switched our focus to Property Preservation and have gone through a few companies. We have one really good client and are looking for more. I cam to this site and all I see is negativity regarding the industry. I am wondering why?

Construction is definitely no better. We have over $35,000 worth of liens on properties I doubt we ever get paid for. In preservation we seem to haggle over price but I always get paid.

Its hard to lay a finger on THE ONE thing that produces the negativity as you call it.

How ever if you keep your eyes open and keep reading the new posts and the previous posts you'll soon learn the answers to the questions you seek.
Otherwise I'd be here all night typing.

As for your last sentence.............. there are a lot of us here that HAVE not been paid for services rendered. That will make a guy get real negative real fast.

I appreciate your response. We have been burned a time or to but not nearly as bad as in construction. Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated.

My guess is that the majority of the threads started about PP on this particular forum, is guys in the PP business complaining about the PP business. Clients being unresonable about documentation and not getting paid a fair wage or paid at all seem to be the bulk of what we see here.

It's not the forum members who aren't in the business that are being negative really. That's the way I see it anyway.
